The Pool Walls are going up! WooHooo!

So, on a Saturday, we got the walls up for the pool.  They are steel walls, 42" high, and there is also a set of liner covered steel steps that go along with the kit.  It basically took a complete day for us to get the pool walls in the hole, get them bolted together, and get them somewhat level.  We were also able to get the braces on as well during this day.

As far as a work force, there were four of us working today.  Two of us were setting the walls, and getting a couple bolts in them, and the other two were going back through and putting all the bolts in.  After all the bolts were in and all the walls were in place, two of us went back through and tightened all the bolts, and added the wall braces.  Basically every single joint got a brace, and all in all the kit looks and feels extremely sturdy.

We did not get the pool staked,  I will be doing a more accurate leveling of the pool and making sure it is straight.  We checked corner to corner for squareness and eyeballed the straightness of the walls but I will string line to make sure before we do finally stake the walls.

The work was fairly easy, just time consuming, I don't even know how many bolts we installed.  Had to be at least 400 or 500.  The current plan will be to get the resting surface all cleaned up and repaired.  We have to repair it because if rain damage.  I has eroded a large portion of the deep end shelf of the pool wall, so this is kinda my first nightmare of this project.  We have to have a solid base under the walls and I have watched that run out slowly.

And it puts me in a catch 22.  The pool needs to be inspected before I can get the cement poured.  I will not pass inspection if the pool is not set firmly.  If this weather doesn't clear up soon, I might be in a bit of trouble.

My vacation starts in a couple of days and I hope to be extremely busy.  Cross your fingers that the weather gets better, or this is going to suck hard.
Regardless, it will be a lot of work.  So far it has been easy, so far I have had some wonderful help.  My wife has been awesome.  My dad and step mom, as well.  My daughters' boyfriend may have broken a knuckle doing fence post holes, and I also appreciate his sacrifice.
