This really has nothing to do with installing a pool and everything to do with showing some of the pictures and video I have of Traverse city and Sleeping Bear sand dunes. It was a quick vacation, basically a four day weekend but we needed the break and it was fun to be with a lot of family.

Traverse city is at the north west tip of the mitten. Traverse bay is a huge bay that is split by a large peninsula. On that peninsula, there is Mission Pointe lighthouse, and a ton of vineyards and orchards. It is Michigan wine country and it would be a nice location for a grown up vacation.
We had the kids so wine sampling was kept to a minimum. (We actually skipped it completely, but may go back)
We also went to Sleeping bear sand dunes. They are located also in the same general area, on Lake Michigan, and they are beautiful. I am amazed that Michigan has dunes like that, when you consider how completely flat this state really is.

We did have to pay for a 7 day National Parks Pass. I think it was 15 dollars, and for the light houses we had to pay for a state pass, which was another 10 dollars, roughly, but otherwise it was a budget trip. We have family in the area, and hung out there a lot. It was a reunion of sorts. It was actually a memorial, but it was not a sad time, generally speaking.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics, I had fun on the trip.
Back to work! They are excavating as I type this.
